Не так-то просто определить специфическую принадлежность гравелов, тем более что к ним теперь относят все подряд, включая циклокроссы и все прочее. — Между собой мы называем его «злой» велосипед, то есть велосипед с большой, серьезной резиной. Мы оставили в нем большие зазоры, в итоге туда помещаются покрышки до 55 мм на колесах диаметром 27,5 дюйма и 48—50 мм при стандартных 700с, 28 дюймов, — рассказывает Алексей. — Подбор резины позволяет сделать ставку на скорость либо на проходимость в любых условиях. В результате велосипед получился отзывчивым, при этом в достаточной степени вседорожным. Спортивная генетика в нем также сохраняется, мы устанавливаем сюда стандартный шоссейный баран — для большинства велолюбителей это будет оптимальным решением.

Paving applications and uses for pavers
Pavers are a great solution for outdoor areas. Concrete pavers are hard-wearing, easy to install and they look great, improving the look of patios, paths and backyard entertaining areas.
Pavers come in different shapes, sizes, colours, styles and prices and it’s important to consider what paver will work best for your project because not all pavers are created equal. Adbri’s paving range includes grey pavers and black pavers, and in some of the ranges, white pavers as well as other neutral colours to suit your home. The most popular uses for pavers in home landscaping are;
Driveways
Driveway pavers are typically small format pavers that are specially produced in a thicker size (at least 50mm) that make them safe for cars to drive on so they don’t crack and break. Larger pavers can be used for driveways only if they are adhered to a suitably prepared concrete base.
Paths
Garden paths and step stones are one of the best DIY projects and concrete pavers are an excellent choice for this paving job. Larger size square or rectangle concrete pavers create a comfortable stepper that make them the best paver for side paths and steppers.
Pools
Pool pavers are speciality products that are denser, and very hard wearing compared to other options. Euro® range pavers are the only suitable concrete pavers in the Adbri range for paving around pools because they are more resistant to salt and chlorine attack. This range also includes pool coping pavers, which is where a ‘bullnose’ type of finish is applied to the paver for the coping layer.

Paver Styles: Brick Pavers Vs Large Format Pavers
In simple terms, there are two styles of concrete pavers. Small format and brick pavers, and then large format pavers which can either be square pavers, or large rectangular pavers.
Brick pavers are very popular because of their versatility. Brick pavers can be used for traditional paving projects like driveways and paths, they are also very popular for borders and paver header courses. Brick style pavers are also popular for garden edging because they are easy to install.
Large format pavers: A large format paver is defined as anything larger than a 300x300mm surface area. These pavers are best suited to projects like paved courtyards, patios, entertaining areas and alfresco and outdoor dining. That’s because the style trend is for larger format pavers which can either be a square shape, or even more on trend is the rectangle pavers.
Some important questions to ask before you choose a paver include;
• Do I need driveway pavers and what types are suitable for cars to drive on?
• What is the best paver for step stones? Or if you’re doing a patio, should you use brick pavers or large format rectangular pavers?

How to install Concrete Pavers
Concrete pavers are a great DIY project because they are uniform in size and are laid individually on a foundation of compacted road base and sand (you don’t need a concrete base). The basic steps for installing concrete pavers are; excavating the area (which may include removing turf), preparing the base, screeding the sand to a level plane and then laying the pavers one by one. Once pavers are laid, the project is completed by sweeping “gap sand” over the pavement so the sand fills the spaces between each paver.

- Are concrete pavers better than outdoor tiles?
Pavers and outdoor tiles can be used for similar projects and often, it is a matter of personal preference. The biggest difference between concrete pavers and tiles (or event natural stones) is the thickness, and therefore, the installation method that can be used.
Adbri Masonry concrete pavers are a minimum of 40mm thick meaning they can be laid onto a flexible base which is DIY friendly installation. Tiles and natural stone pavers are often under 20mm thick and are laid onto a concrete base, often meaning these products are not suitable for most intermediate level DIYer’s.
Salt and chlorine can damage standard concrete pavers. Euro® pavers achieve a P5 slip rating and are saline and salt resistant, ideal for use around pools.
Concrete pavers can be used for driveways, but you will need to select a paver that is rated for light commercial traffic, and make sure the base is suitable for this purpose. Generally this will be a small format paver or a brick paver, and it will be a minimum of 50mm thick.

Efflorescence is a naturally occurring by-product of the concrete masonry manufacturing process. Paved areas regularly exposed to a damp environment can prolong the chemical reaction that causes efflorescence, making the appearance of the efflorescence worse. Although efflorescence can never fully be avoided, there are some tips to help you minimise the likelihood of it affecting your project.
